Description
Blackmagic Design Studio Camera 4K PRO G2 Gen2
The Blackmagic Design Studio Camera 4K Pro G2 now enables live streaming in addition to professional connectors like 12G-SDI and 10GbE Ethernet and was designed to operate seamlessly with strong SDI video switchers. The 12G-SDI output and program return provide camera control, talkback, and tally functionalities, and the Ethernet connection enables you to set up an SMPTE-style workflow utilizing a more cheap single-cable setup with PoE (power over ethernet). This most recent 4K Pro model keeps the predecessor's XLR audio, Blackmagic Raw recording, HDR capability, 7" touchscreen monitor, HDMI output, and Micro Four Thirds lens mount.
Compact and Lightweight Design
The advantages of a large studio camera are condensed into a single, portable design by the Blackmagic Studio Camera 4K Pro G2. Its thin, lightweight carbon fiber-reinforced polycarbonate body offers cutting-edge technologies in a compact form. The camera's huge 7" viewfinder makes it simple to monitor and frame shots because it is made for live production. Your switcher, software, touchscreen menus for camera settings, and knobs for brightness, contrast, and focus peaking are all available for control. Your setup is sped up by the accompanying tripod mount with 15mm LWS rod ports and mounting plate.
Powerful Broadcast Connections
The Blackmagic Studio Camera 4K Pro G2 model is built for use with powerful SDI switcher processes and features 12G-SDI, 10GbE Ethernet, talkback, and balanced XLR audio inputs. HDMI with tally, camera control, a record trigger, headphone and mic connectors including dual XLR ports, and two USB Type-C expansion ports are just a few of the interfaces made for both broadcast and consumer components. Your setup will be quicker and more economical thanks to the 10G Ethernet, which enables all video, tally, talkback, and camera power over a single connection.

Exceptional Low-Light Performance
The Blackmagic Studio Camera 4K Pro G2 features gain from -12 dB (100 ISO) up to +36 dB (25,600 ISO), so it's optimized to reduce grain and noise in images while maintaining the full dynamic range of the sensor. The primary native ISO is 400, which is ideal for use under studio lighting. The secondary high-base ISO of 3200 is perfect when shooting in dimly lit environments. The gain can be set from the camera or remotely from a switcher using the SDI or Ethernet remote camera control.
Cinematic Images in Live Production
You may create cinematic images for live production using the incredible 4K sensor in combination with Blackmagic generation 5 color science, which is the same imaging technology used in digital film cameras. Also, you obtain far better photos than with straightforward broadcast cameras when you combine them with the integrated DaVinci Resolve primary color corrector. Even the switcher itself can be used to regulate the color corrector. The Studio 4K Pro G2 camera's 13 stops of dynamic range results in darker blacks and brighter whites, making it ideal for color correction. The sensor's 4096 x 2160 resolution makes it ideal for both HD and Ultra HD operations. Moreover, all models offer frame rates of 23.98 to 60.

Frame Shots with Large 7" Viewfinder
The massive 7 "A high-resolution screen will significantly simplify framing photos because it is large enough to completely change how you operate the camera. The HDR display on the Pro model has a tremendous amount of brightness, making it ideal for use outside in broad sunshine. On-screen overlays display information such as levels, frame guides, the histogram, focus peaking indicators, status and record settings, and more. Even 3D LUTs can be used to monitor shots with the appropriate color and appearance. The touchscreen contains menus as well, and you may load and modify presets for certain tasks. The provided sunshade is compatible with sunshades from the Blackmagic Studio Viewfinder and can be folded to cover the screen during transport.
Physical and Touchscreen Controls
Both physical buttons and knobs as well as touchscreen controls are available on Blackmagic Studio Cameras. Brightness, contrast, and focus peaking may all be changed using the knobs on the right side of the camera. The focus peaking knob is quite helpful since it enables you to precisely adjust the detail highlight, ensuring that you maintain excellent focus as you zoom. Zebra, false color, focus peaking, LUTs, and other features can be assigned to buttons on the left. Using the options, you can modify the purpose each button is intended to serve. The touchscreen also has menus for all camera settings, LUTs, and custom presets in addition to a heads-up display with the most crucial shooting data.
Communicate with the Director via Talkback
The Blackmagic Studio Camera 4K Pro model, in contrast to consumer cameras, has SDI connectors that incorporate talkback, allowing the switcher operator to interact with the cameras during live events. This solves the issue of multiple cameras potentially capturing the same scene at the same time by allowing the director to consult with camera operators to direct shot choices. Standard 5-pin XLR broadcast headsets are supported by the talkback connector, which is integrated into the side of the camera. In the SDI connection between the camera and the switcher as well as in the program return from the switcher to the camera, talkback uses audio channels 15 and 16. This implies that talkback is compatible with any embedded SDI audio device.
Four Ways to Connect
There are numerous ways to connect Blackmagic Studio Cameras. All of the versions have HDMI, making them ideal for HDMI switchers like the ATEM Mini. With a single HDMI cable, the HDMI supports video, tally, control, and record trigger for a broadcast-style workflow. You can connect the Blackmagic Studio Camera 4K Pro G2 to switchers that use SDI, such the ATEM Constellation, because it has 12G-SDI. There is a 12G-SDI connection for program return as well as one for video output from the camera. Furthermore, tally, talkback, and remote camera control are included in the program return. Alternately, you can use a standard Cat 6a Ethernet cable and 10G Ethernet to obtain camera footage, program return, tally, talkback, camera control, and even power.
