High-performance cinema lens for X Series
\n\nThese lens delivers high optical performance and comfortable operability \n\n\tfor professional video shooting. These are the first full manual cinema lens \n\n\tto be compatible with the X Series interchangeable camera. In the 35mm \n\n\tformat equivalent, MKX50-135mmT2.9 covers a focal distance from 76mm to \n\n\t206mm and achieves a constant T2.9* aperture across the entire zoom range, \n\n\tenabling a shallow depth of field as well as a beautiful bokeh effect. The \n\n\tlens design is optimized for shooting videos as it minimizes focus shift and \n\n\toptical axis shift while zooming, and reduces lens breathing (the change of \n\n\tangle of view during focusing). The lens also features three rings to enable \n\n\tmanual and independent operation of focus, zoom and iris (aperture), all \n\n\twith the gear pitch** of 0.8M (module). The focus rings can rotate fully up \n\n\tto 200 degrees to facilitate precise focusing. These features make the lens \n\n\tvery comfortable and convenient to operate.
\n\nAdvanced optical performance
\n\nMKX50-135mmT2.9 uses 22 glass elements in 17 groups, with two super ED \n\n\tlens elements and two ED lens elements.
\n\n\tIt has T2.9 aperture across the entire zoom range which facilitates the \n\n\tincreasingly popular style of bokeh effect with shallow depth-of-field. This \n\n\talso eliminates the need to re-adjust lighting, contributing to shortening \n\n\tshooting time.
\n\n\tThe MKX lens achieves advanced optical performance despite its compact and \n\n\tlightweight body by incorporating the benefits of short flange focal \n\n\tdistance of X Mount into optical design to the maximum extent. This \n\n\taccommodates shooting with a limited number of people.
\n\n\tThe electrical contact to communicate with the X Series camera not only \n\n\tcorrects the distortion and the color/brightness shading, but also achieves \n\n\tvarious color expressions with Film Simulation modes.
Supress focus shift while zooming
\n\nThe front focusing group of lens elements and the zooming group of lens \n\n\telements are driven independently from one another to suppress focus shift \n\n\twhile zooming, which eliminates the need to re-focus after zooming in or \n\n\tout. The optical and mechanical approach means there is no time lag as seen \n\n\tin an electrical control system.
\n\nSupress lens breathing
\n\nThe use of the front inner-focusing system controls lens breathing \n\n\t(change of angle of view during focusing which achieves smooth focusing in \n\n\tan impressive scene.
\n\nSupress optical axis shift while zooming
\n\nManufacturing technology developed for conventional FUJINON cine lenses \n\n\tis applied to control optical axis shift while zooming, achieving intended \n\n\tcomposition every time.
\n\nComfortable operability
\n\nThe focus ring features a rotation of a full 200 degrees to facilitate \n\n\tprecise focusing even when shooting with a shallow depth-of-field where a \n\n\thigh degree of precision is required.
\n\n\tThe lens features three fully manual rings to enable independent adjustment \n\n\tof focus, zoom and iris (aperture). This enables intuitive operations which \n\n\tcannot be attained with an electrical mechanism that typically causes time \n\n\tlag.
\n\n\tAll the operation rings have a gear pitch of 0.8M, the same as all other \n\n\tFUJINON cine lenses, which allows the use of all standard third party \n\n\taccessories for video production, e.g. Follow Focus that enable accurate and \n\n\tsmooth focusing.
\n\n\tThe iris supports seamless adjustment that is free of clicking. This enables \n\n\tprecise and silent exposure adjustment while also preventing camera shake \n\n\tcaused by the clicking.
Standarized design for ease of operation
\n\nOnly one matte box between the MKX lenses is needed with a 85mm front \n\n\tdiameter.
\n\n\tOnly one filter size between the MKX lenses is needed with a filter thread \n\n\tof 82mm.
\n\n\tThe gears for the three rings are positioned in the same place so as to \n\n\teliminate the need to re-position accessories when switching MKX lenses.
\n\n\tThe lenses have a macro function that allows shooting close-up to broaden \n\n\tthe range of scenes that can be covered with one lens.
\n\n\tMK18-55mm: Minimum Object Distance* of 0.38m (wide end)
\n\n\tMK50-135mm: Minimum Object Distance of 0.85m (wide end)
\n\n\tThe lenses feature a Flange Focal Distance adjustment function** to achieve \n\n\toptimum camera and lens matching, bringing out the lenses' full optical \n\n\tperformance.
The lens delivers high optical performance and comfortable operability for \n\nprofessional video shooting. Along with MKX50-135mmT2.9, MKX18-55mmT2.9 is the \n\nfirst full manual cinema lens to be compatible with the X Series interchangeable \n\ncamera. In the 35mm format equivalent, MKX18-55mmT2.9 covers a focal distance \n\nfrom 27mm to 84mm and achieves a constant T2.9* aperture across the entire zoom \n\nrange, enabling a shallow depth of field as well as a beautiful bokeh effect. \n\nThe lens design is optimized for shooting videos as it minimizes focus shift and \n\noptical axis shift while zooming, and reduces lens breathing (the change of \n\nangle of view during focusing). The lens also features three rings to enable \n\nmanual and independent operation of focus, zoom and iris (aperture), all with \n\nthe gear pitch** of 0.8M (module). The focus rings can rotate fully up to 200 \n\ndegrees to facilitate precise focusing. These features make the lens very \n\ncomfortable and convenient to operate
